Imaging – Illustrator: The Basics

30th July, 2019 – The first imaging class for Semester 1, mentored by Ms. Jigna Gada began again, with a round of brief introductions by everyone after which we were introduced to the basic concept of graphics, imaging and the wonderful software that Adobe is. We began our first lesson for the semester with learning the basics of Adobe Illustrator, along with demonstrations on how to use the various tools on the application.

After learning how to operate all the essential tools, we were given a class assignment to make a design using maximum number of tools and features on the Adobe Illustator application. This activity made sure we were well versed with the tools, which helped us later in smoothly completing our home assignment, which was a set of 9 designs, to be made on the illustrator for practise.
