9th August, 2019 – The class began with Ms. Sutaria reviewing every student’s collection of materials for the material board. The materials were divided into categories as follows: rigidity, conductivity, flexibility, and whether they were hard materials or soft materials. Ma’am carefully reviewed every material and even asked us various questions about the materials we had got. Through this, we got to learn so much more about the materials that we had got, and we thought we knew about.
In the second half of the class, ma’am asked us to draw a set of designs for a pair of coasters that we had to make as an assignment in the workshop lab using an MDF board and the various machines and tools that we were shown while touring the lab. Once they got approved, we proceeded to start making our coasters. This was a very fun activity as we were all very excited to work in the laboratory and use the various equipments and machinery.
