21st August, 2019 – The third class for journalism began with an activity in which the class was made to say numbers, skipping 3 with a clap and 5 with a foot thump. The main purpose of the activity was to evoke attention and to wake everyone up from snooze mode. The ‘actual’ class began with an introduction on how to write a scoop and what it comprises of, main elements being – who, where, what, why and when. The class was then shown an article by Harper’s Bazaar which talked about Rihanna being spotted at Beverly Hills with her beau on a dinner date. Everyone was then asked to write a scoop using that article as an example. Ms. Seth then gave us certain guidelines on how to prepare interview questions for our assignment, which is to interview a personality we admire the most. A mock interview session was then conducted with questions that the class had prepared.
