17th January, 2020 – Mr. Jai Ranjit – The class began with us getting our three narratives that we were asked to bring for our next class. We discussed it individually with Jai sir and then he shortlisted one of them for us to work on. After each one of us discussed our narratives, sir went on to show us two music videos – one being Daft Punk’s Around the World and Fatboy Slim’s Weapon of Choice.
We were then asked to observe the videos and draw conclusions as to what we thought of the two videos. I noted that the first video showed synchronisation with every beat of the songs whereas the other one showed no coordination with the beats, completely freestyle.
We then saw two short films which gave us an understanding of time and gave us a heads up on our narratives. We were then looking at some Instagram photography accounts to help us get an idea on how to go about our photo capturing for our narratives.
