Sustainable Systems – Visual Map

20th January, 2020 – Ms. Supriya Thakker – In today’s class, we started our discussion on what an ecosystem is. Everyone had different definitions of the same and then we concluded that it is a space where living and non-living elements exist interdependently in harmony.

Ma’am then elaborated that every enclosed space is an ecosystem in itself. She then gave us some examples of the same – saying that banks, classrooms, etc. also count as an ecosystem, where everything is interlinked and dependent on each other.

After this discussion, we were then split into groups and were given a topic each for research and further assignments. My group got the topic Waste Management on which we were to do society level survey, a research on the issues, levels and actors of the problem and also conduct a survey. We simulatenously got our visual maps reviewed by ma’am.
