10th February, 2020 – Ms. Supriya Thakkar – In today’s class, each group discussed the case studies they had reviewed based on their areas of focus, ours being waste management.
My group and I covered countries namely Hong Kong, Germany, New York and Spain. We discussed the issues faced by each country in regard to waste management , only to realise the depth of these issues on the locality, city and country/ international level.
Post this discussion, we analysed the issues that were grave, such as segregation of waste and thus landfills as our main problem and were told that our next step was to look for solutions to these problems at a city level.
